and WANT more than the competition.
Believe that your appetite for winning won’t be satisfied.
Keep in mind that you want to STRIVE so that you can THRIVE in your future.
Hunger will keep you in the fight.
When I was an active competitor, no matter whether I lost or won a fight, I was looking for the next step on the ladder.
My eyes were fixed on getting to the TOP!
The desire for MORE knowledge, skills and experience grew with every time that I stepped in and out of the ring.
HUNGRY: aggressively ambitious or competitive.
Read this to yourself, twice a day, with imagination and vividness:
“I am hungry for the abundance of the things that I can not grasp, to help me WIN…MIND, BODY and SOUL.”
“I HAVE to get to the gym 3 times this week.”
“I HAVE to make more money this year.”
“I HAVE to lose 20lbs.”
Do you catch yourself saying things like this in your head from time to time?
Now, imagine someone else telling you these things to your face.
Your natural reaction might be to say, “I don’t HAVE to do anything that I don’t WANT to do.”
This is how your brain works.
When you are forced, pushed or told to do something, your brain subconsciously wants to push back and resist.
Resistance lives in us and it doesn’t have to be taught.
Think back to when you were a kid, mom or dad would say, “you HAVE to do your homework or you will get left back and do the 4th grade all over again.”
What did you do? You found a creative way to avoid doing the homework so that you didn’t have to do what you were told.
We do the same things with our own thoughts. We tell ourselves that we “HAVE” to do a thing and now, unknowingly, we are forcing an idea into existence.
Then what our subconscious will do is help us find a way to push back and resist. It will get creative, getting us to avoid doing what we “HAVE” to do.
The goal is to get our mind on a “WANT” to, “EXPECT” to, or “LOVE” to basis.
When you change the language you use in your head, you won’t feel like you are pressured to act.
“I EXPECT to be productive with my time this week to complete my goals.”
“I WANT to run before the sun comes up to start my day strong.”
“I LOVE working hard all week to better other people’s lives on a daily basis.”
When you do things on a LOVE to, WANT to or EXPECT to basis, you won’t feel like you’re being shoved to do something and you will put up less resistance and/or make less excuses to quit.
Again, this is how your mind works.
No champion has ever thought, “I HAVE to win or else.”
Champion-talk sounds more like:
“I EXPECT to be the greatest.”
“I WANT to win.”
“I LOVE being the best.”
I challenge you to refine your internal and external language this week, and then you will FEEL, TALK and ACT like a winner!!
