STRENGTHENING ONE KID AT A TIME...

 

Husband, father, and lifelong martial artist Chris Romulo believes that in order for students to win in academia, athletics, and life, they have to overcome self-doubt, fear, disappointment, hardship, confusion, negative self-talk, and inflated egos – what he calls the Seven Dictators of the mind. ⁣


However, to overcome these Seven Dictators, students need a certain set of mental skills. These mental skills are at the foundation of Chris’ Champ Up message. The Champ Up presentation is a fun and engaging hour-long speech that includes slideshows, videos, and sometimes even break-dancing. ⁣


During the speech, Chris reveals to students the mental tools that he used to transform himself from a misguided youth in Queens, NY, into a professional Muay Thai Champion. ⁣


These mental tools allow students to re-frame the challenges they often face – such as peer pressure, bullying, and lack of direction – and show them that they have a Champion within waiting to be uncovered.⁣
