What I do EVERY morning

This time of the year is great for me for a few reasons:

1.-Our gym gets busy with people coming back from the holidays, or starting new habits for the New Year.

2.-It is the anniversary of our gym moving into the 5,000 square foot space that we dreamed of since moving into the Rockaways.

3.- Last but not least, my oldest son, Jube was born 19 years ago on January 8th.

All these things have bittersweet memories, because not one of these journeys have been easy.

They all required massive amounts of struggle, setbacks, confusion and disappointment.

But I wake up every morning looking for the good things in life. There are “silver-linings” in all moments, as long as you are looking for them.

One simple concept that I’ve learned over the years is…you will never find what you are not looking for.

If you complain and only choose to see the negative output in situations, your brain shuts off all the blessings and the positive input.

Gratitude: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Look for gratitude today in the little things and remember you always have the power to choose your state of mind.
